What this page is
This page quotes r/BipolarReddit's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/BipolarReddit's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). AI and LLMs
Rule 9: AI andAI/LLMs AI andAI/LLMs (chatGPT, Gemini, etc) are not considered valid sources with respect to Rule 4 and Rule 1. AI can not constitute a clinical second opinion. All 11 rules of r/BipolarReddit
- Alternative Medicine
Rule 1: Alternative Medicine When posting or commenting about an alternative medicine (i.e. CBD, meditation, diets, supplements, etc.), or remission, please make sure to keep it focused on your personal experience. Recommending or providing medical advice is not allowed. Provide sources when possible when discussing these practices, and do not willfully share false information, suggest others should stop their meds, or make blanket statements about the efficacy of alternative treatments. - Promotion and Solicitation
Rule 2: Promotion and Solicitation We do not allow promotion, solicitation, or affiliate links on this subreddit and those posts will be removed. Repeat offenders may be banned. - Harassment
Rule 3: Harassment Harassment of any kind is not tolerated in this subreddit, and may result in post removal or a ban. Do not harass any user for any reason including treatment plan/medication adherence, race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, etc. Name calling of any sort is not permitted here. - Medical Advice
Rule 4: Medical Advice Neither giving nor soliciting medical advice is allowed. When discussing medical claims, we strongly recommend you provide scientific evidence from verified sources such as medical research studies. However, doing this is no guarantee your post or comment stays up. Comments like, "I read X, so maybe discuss that with your doctor," are fine. Always make it clear that you or any study aren't the ultimate authority and/or that you are speaking from personal experience. - Studies and Surveys
Rule 5: Studies and Surveys We do not allow any kind of studies, surveys, questionnaires, or product testing due to inability to verify authenticity and legitimacy, privacy, ethics, etc. - Chatrooms
Rule 6: Chatrooms We do not screen, moderate, or endorse chatrooms. Should you see one posted, please report it. - Suicide / Self Harm
Rule 7: Suicide/Self Harm Due to the vulnerability of this community, you are required to use NSFW and spoiler tags when discussing self-harm or suicide. Posts threatening suicide, or suicide notes, are subject to immediate removal. We encourage you to treat your feelings as a medical emergency. Please call a friend, family member, 988 in the US, or find transportation to your closest emergency room. We want you to get real help from people who are qualified and able to help you. - Posts about Another Person with Bipolar Disorder
Rule 8: Posts about Another Person with Bipolar Disorder Discussions of public figures with bipolar disorder are not permitted. If you are bipolar yourself and dealing with a bipolar family member or friend, please mention that in your post and use the “Friend/Family” flair. Others may use subs such as r/family_of_bipolar, r/BipolarSOs, or a relationship advice subreddit. This is a support group for those of us with bipolar disorder. Please respect that. - AI and LLMs
Rule 9: AI andAI/LLMs AI andAI/LLMs (chatGPT, Gemini, etc) are not considered valid sources with respect to Rule 4 and Rule 1. AI can not constitute a clinical second opinion. These tools have been shown to be dangerous when used as an alternative to clinical mental health treatment or social activity. AI can be useful in accessibility, drafting and exploratory research capacities; however we are a peer support group space, and majority AI written or supported posts are subject to removal. - No Brigading
Rule 10: No Brigading Posts targeting or discussing other subreddits or subreddit moderators are not allowed under any circumstances and offenders may face an immediate ban, at moderator discretion. Brigading or making posts about other subreddits is against the side-wide rules. If you have a complaint about another sub, that’s what modmail is for. Take it up with the mods of that subreddit. - This Is a support group
Rule 11: This is a Support Group First and foremost, this is a support group. Posts that do not serve the best interests of users as a whole may be removed at moderator discretion.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
