What this page is
This page quotes r/Broadway's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Broadway's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? r/Broadway is a place for fans of all kinds of theater to share their love of the performing arts.
What its rules say about promotion
No bootleg sharing or requests
Do not share or request bootlegs. This includes sharing where to find and how to search for bootlegs. Unless a show is filmed for purposes of Lincoln Center archival (which you can view at Lincoln Center with a membership) or for some other commercial purpose (which you would likely hear publicized), there is no way to obtain recordings of Broadway shows.
What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI graphics or AI-written text
AI-generated content is harmful to the environment, and also steals from artists and authors without permission or accreditation. It is not welcome here.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
