What this page is
This page quotes r/CDL's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/CDL's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). What its rules say about promotion
Limited Self-Promotion & No Deceptive Marketing
You may share your own product, app, or service occasionally if it provides real value to the community, but excessive self-promotion is not allowed. You must clearly disclose any affiliation—posing as a regular user to promote your own content is strictly prohibited and will likely result in a ban. Affiliate links, spam, and low-effort advertising will also be removed.
No Advice or Promotion of Test Tampering or Substance Use While Driving
Posts or comments that encourage, describe, or promote methods to cheat or tamper with drug/alcohol tests (e.g., synthetic urine, masking agents, substitution), or that advocate operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, are strictly prohibited. These discussions compromise safety and legality. Violations may result in removal or ban.
No Job Ads or Recruiting
This subreddit is not a job board. Job ads, recruiting, referrals, “DM me for work,” or hiring posts are not allowed. Reddit is an anonymous, non-location-specific platform, and employers cannot be verified. Job posts here often lead to scams or spam. This community is for CDL discussion, learning, and shared experiences only. Use legitimate job boards for hiring or job searches.

- Stay on Topic
Posts must relate to the CDL exam, truck driving, or the trucking industry. Off-topic content, such as unrelated memes or personal stories not tied to trucking, will be removed. - Respectful Communication
Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. We're here to support and learn from one another. - No Private Contact Requests
Do not ask users to email, DM, or text for job opportunities, assistance, or any other inquiries. All relevant information must be publicly shared in your post or comment. Violations may result in removal. - No Solicitation of Illegal Activity
Discussions encouraging or soliciting illegal behavior (e.g., falsifying logs, cheating on the CDL exam) are strictly prohibited. Posts of this nature will be removed, and users may face a ban. - Limited Self-Promotion & No Deceptive Marketing

All Reddit sitewide rules apply. This includes no sharing of personal information, no explicit content, and no copyright infringement. - Use Descriptive Titles
Make it easy for others to understand your post by using clear and descriptive titles. Examples: Good: "Tips for Passing the Pre-Trip Inspection" Bad: "Help!!!" - Ask Questions Thoughtfully
Before posting a question, check if it’s already answered in the FAQ or pinned resources. Duplicate questions may be removed to keep the subreddit organized. - Moderation is Final
The moderators reserve the right to remove posts or comments at their discretion to maintain the subreddit’s focus and quality. If you believe a removal was unjust, politely message the moderators. - No Advice or Promotion of Test Tampering or Substance Use While Driving

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
