What this page is
This page quotes r/ClassicHorror's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/ClassicHorror's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

- Spam
r/Classichorror follows the reddit.com guidelines for what constitutes spam. For more information, please visit: https://www.reddit.com/wiki/faq#wiki_what_constitutes_spam.3F - Abuse
Hateful comments, including, but not limited to homophobic, racist, misogynistic or threatening language will not be tolerated. A minimum week long ban will result from the first offense, with repeat offenders receiving a lifetime ban. - Pirated Content
No links in comments to pirated material. No instructions on how to pirate, either. No full unlicensed movies or TV shows. Posting bootleg t-shirts for sale will result in an immediate ban. Films available in the public domain via YouTube are okay. - Defining "Classic" Horror
While "Classic" is subjective, any movies with the standard horror tropes from precode - 1990 are accepted. TV shows really are for other subs. - No surveys or data collection.
No surveys or data collection. No links to surveys. - Don’t be a jerk.
Don’t be a jerk. This isn’t the place to be a troll, to be rude, or act like a jackass. - No T-shirt Posts
Due to the amount of spam, scams, bootlegs, counterfeits, stolen IP, and bad faith sock puppetry, any and all T-shirt posts will be highly reviewed. Bad faith posts will result in a permaban.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
