What this page is

This page quotes r/crossfit's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/crossfit's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Self-promotion requires regular participation
Self-promotion posts may be removed if you're not an active contributor. To appeal, send a message to the moderators. We encourage community engagement beyond promoting your own content — regular participation in discussions is expected. Repeated spamming or excessive self-promotion may result in a ban.
No affiliate codes in product or deal posts
When sharing products or deals, please refrain from including any affiliate or referral codes. Posts containing affiliate codes will be removed to keep the subreddit free from commercial promotions.
No SaaS or survey requests without approval
Please refrain from posting requests for SaaS (Software as a Service) tools or surveys without prior approval from the moderators. This includes any college or university studies. Unapproved requests may be removed to prevent unsolicited promotions or spam.
All 14 rules of r/crossfit
  1. Posts should be related to CrossFit
Please keep all posts relevant to CrossFit. This forum is dedicated to discussing CrossFit training, techniques, tips, and related topics. Posts that are off-topic or unrelated may be removed to keep the community focused.
  2. No spam or repetitive posting
Avoid posting spam or repetitive posts that disrupt discussion. Such posts may be removed to help keep the subreddit organised and enjoyable for everyone.
  3. Be polite, respectful, and helpful
Always engage in discussions with politeness and respect. Personal attacks, harassment, or rude behavior will not be tolerated. Offer helpful advice and contribute positively to the community. Debate ideas, not people. Disagreements are fine, but please express views without labelling, name-calling, or belittling other participants.
  4. Zero tolerance for discrimination and hate speech
We do not allow any form of threatening or discriminatory behavior, content, or hate speech, including but not limited to racism, homophobia, sexism, and transphobia. Violations will result in the removal of posts/comments and may lead to a ban.
  5. Limit medical, injury, or pain-related posts
Please avoid posts seeking diagnosis or treatment for pain or injury. These topics are best addressed by qualified professionals. Posts about diagnosed conditions in a CrossFit context must clearly state the diagnosis. General training-related discomfort (e.g. bruising, wrist soreness) may be allowed at moderator discretion. Do not ask “what’s wrong with me” or request medical advice. Moderators reserve the right to remove posts.
  7. Protect privacy and personal information
Please do not share personal information about other individuals, including names, addresses, or contact details. Personal messages should remain private unless both parties have agreed to share the content. Respecting privacy helps create a safe and trusting environment for everyone.
  8. No affiliate codes in product or deal posts
When sharing products or deals, please refrain from including any affiliate or referral codes. Posts containing affiliate codes will be removed to keep the subreddit free from commercial promotions.
  9. No SaaS or survey requests without approval
Please refrain from posting requests for SaaS (Software as a Service) tools or surveys without prior approval from the moderators. This includes any college or university studies. Unapproved requests may be removed to prevent unsolicited promotions or spam.
  10. Check the FAQ and search before posting
Please take the time to search before posting to see if your question has already been answered. Many common questions are covered in our FAQ or have been discussed frequently on the subreddit. This helps keep the forum organized and informative. https://www.reddit.com/r/crossfit/wiki/index#wiki_frequently_asked_questions
  11. Duplicate or repetitive posts
Before posting, check if there's an existing thread for your topic. If one is available, please contribute to the thread instead of starting a new post. This helps keep the subreddit organized and focused.
  12. Avoid all-caps, excessive emojis, and editorializing in titles
Please refrain from using all-caps or an excessive number of emojis in post titles. Additionally, avoid editorializing your titles by inserting personal opinions or bias. This helps maintain readability and ensures that titles are clear and objective for all users.
  13. No Spotify playlist posts
Please avoid posting Spotify playlists. These posts can clutter the subreddit and detract from discussions. Consider sharing music recommendations in relevant megathreads or discussions instead.
  14. Moderator discretion in rule interpretation
Final decisions regarding rule interpretation and enforcement rest solely with the moderators. Their judgments are final and aim to maintain a respectful and enjoyable environment for all users.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
