What this page is
This page quotes r/Crunchyroll's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Crunchyroll's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

All 7 rules of r/Crunchyroll
- Legal anime streaming services
Any form of piracy discussion is not allowed on this subreddit. Not only is it off-topic, but it could also lead to problems with Reddit's policies in some cases. Suggesting any form of piracy, such as restreaming websites and downloads are not allowed. Please keep all discussions regarding legal anime streaming services, such as Crunchyroll, Funimation, HIDIVE, Netflix, Hulu, and more. - Crunchyroll relevance
This subreddit is dedicated to discussing Crunchyroll-related content. Discussions about what anime is available on the service is allowed, as long as there's meaningful discussions to be had, such as updates to the catalog and scheduling updates. Keep in mind that this is a Crunchyroll subreddit, not an anime discussion subreddit. If you want to talk about an anime, either through discussions, questions, or reviews, we recommend going to r/anime. - Do not ask for or share account information
Asking for account information for any services, including Crunchyroll, is not allowed. Sharing, trading, and offering account information is also not allowed. Keep in mind that the sharing of personal information is not allowed, per Reddit's rules. - Be respectful
Respect everyone. Respect the Human. Do not discriminate against any user or use offensive language and/or slurs - No low-effort posts
Posts need to lead to meaningful discussions while staying on topic, so low-effort posts are not allowed. [Please read this for more information](https://www.reddit.com/r/Crunchyroll/wiki/rules#wiki_rule_7_no_low-effort_posts). - No duplicate posts
Posts or topics that have recently been discussed on the subreddit don't need to be posted about again. Please refer to the most recent post about the topic you'd like to discuss. If there is a megathread for your topic, such as for a service outage, please refer to that post (typically stickied/pinned). Posts that are automatically removed by AutoMod can be appealed by messaging the mods via ModMail. - Read the subreddit wiki and FAQ
The subreddit has a [wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/Crunchyroll/wiki/index) set up full of information that should be read before posting, especially the [FAQ page](https://www.reddit.com/r/Crunchyroll/wiki/faq). **Posting topics covered in the FAQ or have already been recently posted will result in removals**.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
