What its rules say about promotion
Stay On Topic
Posts must substantially relate to cryptocurrency trading bots, algorithmic trading, automated trading strategies, bot development, exchange APIs, backtesting, security, risk management, or closely related topics. Generic cryptocurrency news, memes, token promotion, price predictions, and unrelated content may be removed.
External Links Require Moderator Approval
All external links posted in submissions or comments are automatically held for moderator review. This includes websites, shortened URLs, referral links, social-media links, Discord/Telegram invites, downloads, repositories, trading platforms, bot websites, and other external resources. Do not intentionally disguise, obscure, or otherwise attempt to bypass the link filter. Repeated attempts to circumvent the filter may result in moderator action.
No Referral or Affiliate Spam
Referral links, affiliate codes, unsolicited advertising, repetitive promotional content, and disguised marketing are prohibited unless explicitly approved by the moderators. Users discussing a product, project, bot, exchange, or service with which they have a material relationship must clearly disclose that relationship. Attempting to hide promotional or affiliate links may result in removal.
Self-Promotion Must Provide Genuine Value
Developers and creators may discuss their own bots, projects, research, tools, and services when the content provides substantial technical, educational, or community value. Low-effort advertisements, repetitive promotion, lead generation, unsolicited sales pitches, and posts whose primary purpose is directing users elsewhere may be removed. Disclosure of your relationship with the project is required.

Scams, phishing, malware, wallet drainers, impersonation, fraudulent services, deceptive trading bots, malicious downloads, and other attempts to defraud or compromise users are prohibited. Never request another user’s seed phrase, private key, password, authentication code, or other sensitive credentials. Suspected malicious content may be removed immediately and reported to Reddit where appropriate. - No Guaranteed or Misleading Profit Claims
Do not claim or imply that a trading bot, strategy, signal service, investment, or trading system provides guaranteed, risk-free, or certain profits. Performance claims must not be intentionally deceptive. Clearly distinguish between backtested, simulated/paper-trading, and live trading results. Screenshots, testimonials, and historical results should not be represented as proof of guaranteed future profitability. - No Pumping or Market Manipulation
Do not use this community to organize or facilitate pump-and-dump schemes, coordinated manipulation, wash trading, artificial volume, or similar abusive market activity. Legitimate educational, academic, technical, or news discussion about market manipulation is permitted provided it does not facilitate abusive activity. - No Referral or Affiliate Spam

Disclosure of your relationship with the project is required. - No Soliciting Funds or Sensitive Account Access
Do not ask community members to send you cryptocurrency or transfer funds for you to trade on their behalf. Do not request seed phrases, private keys, passwords, authentication codes, or exchange API credentials that permit withdrawals or other unnecessary account control. Technical discussion about API authentication, custody, wallet security, and account architecture is allowed. - Be Respectful
Keep discussions respectful, constructive, and in good faith. Personal attacks, harassment, threats, doxxing, targeted abuse, hate, trolling, and intentionally disruptive behavior are not permitted. Disagree with ideas, strategies, code, projects, and claims without attacking the person behind them. Constructive criticism, skepticism, and strong disagreement are welcome when they contribute meaningfully to the discussion. - Follow Reddit’s Content Policy
All posts, comments, and interactions must comply with Reddit’s Content Policy and other applicable sitewide rules. Content involving prohibited activity, spam, manipulation, harassment, privacy violations, or other violations of Reddit-wide policies may be removed and reported to Reddit when appropriate. Community-specific rules do not replace Reddit’s sitewide policies—they apply in addition to them.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
