If you are affiliated with a project (developer, employee, or otherwise representing the company), please prefix your comment with [DEV] so the mod team can vet it before it goes live. Independent users sharing projects they've found can post freely. Repeated promotion of the same product across the sub is not allowed.

Posts and comments containing affiliate links, referral codes, or monetized URLs will be removed. Share clean links so the community benefits, not your wallet.

For posts which are related to the DeGoogling process yet lack any thought or care of research before posting. Memes and pictures fall under this rule. - No First Party Google Hosted Links (AMP/Youtube/Google)
Please do not post links to AMP articles or YouTube. Use alternative frontends like Invidious or Piped, or video hosts like PeerTube where possible. A list of working Invidious instances can be found at https://redirect.invidious.io/. Our wiki has a guide on alternative frontends. - Unfounded allegations & accusations are not allowed
Any allegations, blanket statements, or accusations require proof/cites/evidence. Everyone must be informed properly to make their own decisions and that includes citing proper sources. - Avoid closed-source and centralized software
We should strive to use more [libre](https://framatube.org/videos/watch/a19e809f-5e21-4969-956d-1aa3ccd957f4) and decentralized software whenever possible - Don't post blacklisted links
We blacklist websites that usually generate low-quality content. Currently: x.com, medium.com. For X/Twitter content, please use a Nitter instance instead. Exceptions are made for posts that provide genuine value and are of high quality. - ROM question not in Megathread

Users must put in at least a little research and describe the research they performed in order to help the community answer their questions. Our users are not google - No Duplicate Posts
