This subreddit is a community for discussion, not a place for academic, commercial, or personal data collection. Surveys, questionnaires, or forms of covert data-gathering posts are not allowed. This includes research for app developers, school projects, marketing, etc. Discord links aren't allowed in this subreddit. In an effort to keep this sub on topic and as spam-free as possible, unapproved posts will be removed.

  1. Search the Internet, the forum and our wiki before posting
    Always use the search function before creating a new post to ensure that your question or topic has not been previously discussed. Do a basic internet search before posting here, it's highly possible your questions are answered somewhere else on the internet. You can append site:reddit.com/r/developersPak QUERY on search engines to filter results from our forum.
  2. No direct job/freelance work posts
    This is not a Job Board. use the specific platforms for such purposes. posting any jobs or attempting to hire in comments will result in a ban.
  3. Proper flair and body
    Posts must be well-structured with a proper post flair, a post body and a descriptive title. Low-effort posts, such as generalization, bad memes, poorly cropped images, or posts with no context, will be removed. Titles should clearly describe the content, so users know what the post is about without reading the body. use correct flairs for your post too. Example: A post titled “LOL” or "Thoughts?" will be removed.
  4. AI-Generated Content

    Not safe for work content is not permitted in the Subreddit. Anything remotely offensive and inappropriate for a public forum will be removed.
  7. No Political Discussions
    This forum is dedicated to the software engineering ecosystem in Pakistan, and political discussions both international and national are strictly not allowed.
  8. Be kind and helpful. No hate speech
    • Be kind and helpful to other users. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any other form of hostility will not be tolerated. • Constructive criticism is fine but do it in a way that doesn't attack someone directly. Remember, there is a real human behind the screens. Learn to have sympathy towards others.

  13. No 'DM me' or Message Requests
    Please keep all questions, advice, and discussions public so everyone can learn and contribute. Comments like “DM me” or requesting private messages are not allowed. Transparency helps the whole community grow.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
