What this page is

This page quotes r/DungeonCrawlerCarl's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/DungeonCrawlerCarl's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

This is the official subreddit for both the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series and the Society for the Eradication of Cocker Spaniels, Intergalactic NFC https://mybook.to/dungeoncrawlercarl

What its rules say about promotion

RULE NUMBER FOUR. NO SELLING.
We don't sell stuff here. Not bootleg stuff. Not your books on Ebay. Sorry about that, folks.

What its rules say about AI and bots

RULE NUMBER THREE. NO AI CONTENT.
Posts made with image generators or Chat-GPT style ai content are not allowed. The only AI allowed is the System AI.
All 8 rules of r/DungeonCrawlerCarl
  1. RULE NUMBER ONE. BE KIND.
    Don't be a dick.
  2. RULE NUMBER TWO. MARK YO SPOILERS.
Spoiler everything. This community has readers who haven't read all the books, so it's important to keep the place as safe as possible for new readers, so keep that in mind. Posts that have spoilers in the title, spoil books before the ebook is released, or contain Patreon spoilers will be deleted. Sharing of Patreon spoilers may also lead to time outs or having your crawl accelerated.
  3. RULE NUMBER THREE. NO AI CONTENT.
Posts made with image generators or Chat-GPT style ai content are not allowed. The only AI allowed is the System AI.
  4. RULE NUMBER FOUR. NO SELLING.
We don't sell stuff here. Not bootleg stuff. Not your books on Ebay. Sorry about that, folks.
  5. RULE NUMBER FIVE. DON'T TAG MATT.
If you need to get in touch with Matt for a legitimate reason, send us a Modmail and we will connect you to his assistant.
  6. RULE NUMBER SIX. STAY ON TOPIC.
The focus of this subreddit is Matt Dinniman, and the Dungeon Crawler Carl. Unrelated posts, repeat posts, and low effort posts will be removed as the mods see them. Share your DCC memes with us, but if the focus of your post is one of the many screaming goats ,or a cat wearing a tiara, it is likely to get axed.
  7. RULE NUMBER SEVEN. NO POLITICS.
Despite the political tones of the series, there is to be no discussion of real world politics in this subreddit. We dont care if you lean red, blue, or puce, leave the politics at the door.
  8. RULE NUMBER EIGHT. CASTING POSTS
All posts related to the upcoming TV series must be made in the newly created r/DCCTV subreddit.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
