What this page is

This page quotes r/Episode's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-07. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Episode's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

All 8 rules of r/Episode
  1. The Golden Rule — Don't be a jerk.
Treat members, authors, artists, developers, and moderators with respect. Personal attacks, hostility, harassment, and inflammatory behavior are not allowed. Keep criticism constructive. Critique stories, not their creators. Mocking or insulting someone’s work is not constructive criticism. Don’t shame others for what they enjoy. Criticize the content, not the person. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, religion, disability, or political beliefs is prohibited.
  2. No Targeting, Call-Outs, or Doxxing
Do not target, attack, spread rumors about, or encourage harassment of users, authors, or moderators. Call-out posts are not allowed, including screenshots or content from other platforms used to call someone out. Do not share or try to find someone’s private information or real-life identity. Doxxing will result in a permanent ban. If you have an issue with another member or a moderation decision, report it or contact the moderators through ModMail.
  3. Posting Guidelines
Posts must contribute meaningfully to the subreddit. No spam, karma-baiting, repetitive drama, or low-effort content. Check the subreddit before posting. Similar topics posted within the past week may be removed as duplicates. Limit yourself to three posts within 24 hours and one post per flair within 24 hours. Additional posts will be removed. Use the appropriate weekly threads and Megathreads when available.
  4. Credit Authors & Artists
Include the story name and author in your post title using [Like This] or (Like This). When sharing art, credit the artist’s handle in the post. Even if you are the artist yourself, please mention this somewhere in your post. “AI” is not accepted as an artist credit.
  5. Keep it SFW
Keep the subreddit PG-13. Explicit sexual content is not allowed, including self-made sexual Episode content and content from the retired Ivy app or Episode Netflix stories.
  6. Stay on Topic
Posts and comments must stay relevant to Episode and the original discussion. Unrelated political debates, community drama, insults, or ideological arguments may be removed or locked.
  7. AI Content & Discussions
Discussion and criticism of AI, including Episode/Pocket Gems’ use of AI, is allowed as long as it remains civil and non-targeted. Do not showcase, promote, or analyze AI-generated writing, art, covers, or coding created by community members. Do not accuse or speculate that an author or artist used AI without proof, for instance typical inconsistencies in AI art.
  8. No Hacks or Locked Content Sharing
Do not ask for or share hacks, modified versions of the app, or other ways to unfairly obtain gems, passes, book club points, or other in-game content. Do not ask for or share passwords, codes, or correct choices used to access locked or paid content. This includes content unlocked with gems or codes, as well as paid content from Patreon or other creator platforms. Violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
