What this page is
This page quotes r/FreeCodeCamp's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/FreeCodeCamp's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
No spam
Spamming includes posting off-topic messages to disrupt discussions, promote a product, solicit donations, advertise a job / internship / gig, or flooding discussions with files or text. Posts designed to direct users to your website, blog, videos, or other content are considered spam.
No self-promotion
Please refrain from self-promotion of your projects (GitHub, Personal Website, etc) or social media (e.g. YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter).
No advertising projects
Links to projects for the limited purpose of debugging are acceptable as long as the link is being shared to help you with a specific error in your code, not to drive traffic to the project, solicit contributors, or otherwise leverage our community for your project's growth and engagement.
No third-party advertisments
Do not post links to products/services/websites unless they are responsive/relevant to the current discussion. If you have a financial relationship with the product, you must disclose that relationship. Affiliate links are not allowed.
What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI
Please do not share AI-generated content within this community.
All 15 rules of r/FreeCodeCamp
- No harassment
Harassment includes sexual language and imagery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, name-calling, unwelcome attention, libel, and any malicious hacking or social engineering. freeCodeCamp should be a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, national origin, or religion (or lack thereof). - No trolling
Trolling includes posting inflammatory comments to provoke an emotional response or disrupt discussions. - No spam

Please refrain from discussing drugs, alcohol, or other content that may not be appropriate for our users under the age of 18. - No Drama
Please do not bring drama from other Reddit communities here. We are here to help people on their development journey. - No sensitive topics
Discussion of politics, religion, current events, or other controversial topics is prohibited. We are first and foremost a programming community, and we do not want heated discussions which detract from that goal. - Be patient
Members of this community volunteer their time to help each other. Please be respectful of that generosity, and do not needlessly ping members, spam your question in multiple channels, or demand faster responses. - 1:1 Support
We do not offer DM support, voice support, or any other 1-on-1 mentorship/assistance. - No dating
This is not a dating subreddit. Our community is not the place to flirt with members, "pick up chicks", or otherwise make unwanted advances toward someone. - No AI
Please do not share AI-generated content within this community. - No solutions
Do not simply hand someone the solution to their problem. In doing so, you deprive them of the learning process. Instead, consider guiding them to reach the solution on their own: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/how-to-help-someone-with-their-code-using-the-socratic-method/ - No Low Effort or Drive-by Comments
Single word or short sentence comments will be removed. We encourage thoughtful discussion with context and perspective. Share what you know so we all can learn.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
