Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/gamingsuggestions's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion
No promotional posts
If you want to recommend a game then recommend a game without linking your youtube video or blog post about it. This isn't the place to promote your content. All forms of self-promotion fall under this rule, including but not limited to referral links, advertising your game, advertising your discord/private server/youtube/twitch or anything else that you might be sharing for personal gain. We follow the spirit of this rule, not the letter of it. There are no loopholes, you will be banned.
No NFT, Pay 2 Earn, or Blockchain game suggestions
These games are by their nature promotional and therefore against rule 3, but now they have their own specific rule to make it abundantly clear that these pyramid schemes and scams are not welcome in this sub.
All 7 rules of r/gamingsuggestions
- Post's title must describe your request/suggestion
Vague requests like "looking for action games" are fine, but titles that give no information such as "help me find a game" are not. The purpose of this rule is to make it easy for suggesters to find requests for the kinds of games they know about. If the title doesn't give a general idea of what your thread will be about, your post will be removed. - Don't insult, harass, threaten, or stalk users
Really don't do anything that would make other users feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. - No promotional posts

Piracy-related discussions are fine as long as it doesn't stray into the realm of how/where to do so, nor explicitly telling users to pirate a game, or otherwise acquire it without paying. In regards to emulation suggestions it is assumed you own, or will purchase, the suggested game(s). Comments or posts that leave reasonable doubt to this assumption will be dealt with accordingly. - No porn or graphic imagery
Self explanatory, this is a SFW sub. - No surveys or questionnaires
Don't clog up this sub with your survey, questionnaire, or any similar posts. - No NFT, Pay 2 Earn, or Blockchain game suggestions

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
