This includes but is not limited to: Cookie sales, Nuts and Candies, Magazines, GoFundMe, or any fundraiser. This also includes requesting links, or DMs with sales links. Purpose: To reduce confusion and arguments of who is correct. Affiliate links are also not permitted, including links to personal blogs with monetization.

Scout Safety refers to all scouts young and old and their safety here on this subreddit. Photos containing locations, names, troop numbers, or any other identifying marks which may jeopardize a scout's safety is not permitted in this subreddit. - No Harsh Language & Profanity (Words and Photos)
If you have something to say that you would not say in front of your troop, please do not say it here. This includes profanity, vulgar comments and posts, and photos with profanity, nudity, racism, etc. - No Solicitation of any kind

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
