What this page is

This page quotes r/grok's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/grok's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No spam, promo, or selling
No crypto, clones, "unrestricted Grok," drive-by dumps, account selling, or referral bait. Own projects are ok if you built them with or for Grok / Grok Bot and explain them.
Use flair & put in some effort
Use a title that names the thing, add a sentence of context, and pick a flair. Grok Imagine showcases are welcome when they are unique or add context (prompt, technique, what you were trying). Remove low-effort farms: captionless images or title-only pretty-girl / portrait dumps, generic meme spam, and repeat lookalike dumps. NSFW / spicy / lewd still go under No NSFW. Mod discretion on the edge.
All 9 rules of r/grok
  1. Stay on topic
Grok and Grok Bot. Comparisons are fine if they are actually about them.
  2. Be civil, be useful
Hard feedback is welcome if it has a point. Say what broke and what you tried. Personal attacks, bait, and empty rants go.
  3. No NSFW
SFW community. No adult Imagine, spicy-mode dumps, or sexual content. Marking a post NSFW does not make it allowed.
  4. No jailbreaks or filter bypasses
Don't post prompts or guides meant to bypass Grok's limits. That includes "bring uncensored back" and old NSFW prompt-hack lists.
  5. No spam, promo, or selling
No crypto, clones, "unrestricted Grok," drive-by dumps, account selling, or referral bait. Own projects are ok if you built them with or for Grok / Grok Bot and explain them.
  6. No impersonation
Don't pretend to be SpaceXAI, Grok, or the mods.
  7. Account issues go to official support
Use grok.com or SpaceXAI support. We cannot reset a login from here.
  9. No deepfakes
Non-consensual or deepfake sexual imagery is a permanent ban. We also report it to Reddit admins.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
