What this page is

This page quotes r/HockeyStats's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/HockeyStats's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI.
Any posts utilizing AI generated text or imagery are strictly prohibited. We require authentic authorship and support human artists.
All 7 rules of r/HockeyStats
  1. Conduct yourself responsibly and respectfully
Please follow Reddiquette at all times. Be careful to speak to other posters respectfully, especially when involved in a debate. Use data to build your argument not foul language, personal attacks, etc. Take a look at r/hockey rules, which are used as a template for ours- https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/wiki/bans
  2. No bigotry of any form
Racist, ethnic, sexist, transphobic or homophobic slurs as well as any other hate speech of any kind is not tolerated here. Posts or comments of this type will result in a ban from the sub.
  3. No harassment or trolling
  4. Anti-analytics talk: the eye test, intangibles, heart, etc.
This is an analytics sub, we're here to discuss them not debate their worth vs. gut instincts. As such please do not use anti-analytics talk as a serious line of argument here. This includes the vague qualities that are commonly used as cliches by people who don't believe in analytics like what the "eye test" tells them, player intangibles, & heart.
  5. Credit visuals/chart/statcard sources
If you're posting any non-original work featuring analytics visuals of any type you must credit the individual or outlet that made the source image, chart, stat card, etc. (Ie Natural Stat Trick, MoneyPuck, The Athletic.)
  6. Restriction on betting content
We're here to understand the game better and educate people on ways to do so, not to win your bets, sorry. Please refrain from making posts or comments requesting analytics data so they can be used to win users money. No solicitation of models to do so either.
  7. No AI.
Any posts utilizing AI generated text or imagery are strictly prohibited. We require authentic authorship and support human artists.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
