What this page is
This page quotes r/hyprland's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/hyprland's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). What its rules say about promotion
Hypr* only
Here we talk about Hyprland and everything hypr* related. Hypr* means from the Hyprwm team, not some dots/plugin with hypr in the name. Be sure to read https://wiki.hypr.land before asking. - No caelestia/noctalia and others shell help post. - No waybar/eww/quickshell/ags/etc help post. - No help for downloaded dotfiles, only base and custom-made configs. (you should know what are you asking help for) - No, network or sound problems ARE NOT hypr* related.

This is a tech related subreddit. No politics at all. - No pictures or videos with phones
Don't attach media taken with your phone. You can paste the content here using the rights tags or even better using paste services. - Be polite
Irony, sarcasm etc. are tolerated, swearing and insults aren't. - Ricing
Ricing post are allowed, if under the right flair and if they don't contain prohibited material: downloading dotfiles from github and posting here is not. You should be the author of the rice, the repost with a different username from the original one will get the post deleted. - No low effort posts
When looking for support be sure to include: - logs - errors - everything you tried - other info that can help: hardware related info, distro, kernel and packages versions. Saying "my hyprland broke, what do?" will result in the post being removed. If it isn't support related, argue and/or include any content you can provide. - Use correct flairs
When posting try to use the correct flairs, and in case of a support request solved, to edit the flair.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
