What its rules say about promotion

No advertising
Please do not advertise here if you are an ice cream company or affiliate. This is not the right place for any spam or self promotion. Such as harmful links, posting the same thing in multiple posts and/or comments or promoting a website, any Facebook group and social media accounts. Or surveys, petitions and giveaways. But also following: Repeatedly posting unrelated/off-topic/link-farmed content. If you want to promote a subreddit, send a modmail and I can add it in the sidebar list.

What its rules say about AI and bots

All 7 rules of r/icecream
  1. Must be about ice cream
This subreddit is all about ice cream! Feel free to share photos, reviews, homemade recipes, and anything else ice cream-related. You can also discuss toppings, brands, flavors and more, but please keep the conversation focused on ice cream and avoid unrelated topics. It’s also allowed to post things similar to ice cream, such as popsicles, parfait, mochi, semifreddo, sorbet and other frozen desserts. But other topics may be considered off topic.
  2. No Repost Spam
Do not repost other people’s posts in the subreddit and pretend it’s your own post. The same apply if you find an image on internet somewhere, and pretend it’s yours.
  4. Be civil
It’s fine if you dislike other people’s posts, or if you disagree in comments. But always be civil/nice. Don't be rude, i.e. singling out users, using personal attacks or derogatory language, picking fights, trolling, etc.
  5. Stay on topic. No trolling, low effort or irrelevant posts.
Comments that add nothing to the discussion will be removed (e.g. "lol", "this", "I agree", or an emoji). The same if you are going to joke, or be off topic in other ways. If you just want to provoke others, don’t post it here. No low effort posts. No memes, no links without context, vague or misleading titles, posts that are not about ice cream and so on. Or a post that was not really thought about and does not really hold up to more discussion.
  6. Write in English
All posts and comments need to be in English. We know users speak different languages, but this subreddit’s official language is English - any level welcome! If you post anything in a language other than English you need to also provide a full translation.
  7. No AI

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
