What its rules say about AI and bots

Bots
Besides u/comixbot, this sub has no interest in automatic posts from bots of any kind. All other bots will be banned.
All 9 rules of r/indiecomics
  1. OC Thursday
This subreddit encourages cartoonists to share their work they created, i.e. original content (OC). Please only make OC posts on Thursdays (UTC).
  2. Self-Promotion and Crowdfunding
Like OC, posts constituting self-promotion (including crowdfunding posts) are only allowed on Thursdays (UTC). In addition, please make no more than two posts about the same crowdfunding project.
  3. Buying/Selling of Comics
This is not the sub to sell or buy comics.
  4. Please Only Make Posts Related to Comics
Please do not post artwork that is unrelated to comics.
  5. No Copyright Infringement
Please do not share any content that infringes copyright, link to websites containing this content, or discuss how to obtain such content.
  6. Please No Talk of Politics
This also includes socio-political. These topics can derail the conversation and have a tendency to turn threads toxic. There are many subreddits which deal directly with these topics.
  7. Please No Hearsay or Speculation
Let's try and steer away from 'chatty patty' gossip. 'Games of telephone' can quickly escalate into 'kangaroo courts' and be extremely harmful to cartoonists.
  8. Please No Trolling
Please do not try and elicit a negative emotional response from others.
  9. Bots
Besides u/comixbot, this sub has no interest in automatic posts from bots of any kind. All other bots will be banned.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
