What this page is

This page quotes r/IPhoneApps's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/IPhoneApps's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

A community for discovering, discussing, and getting the most out of iPhone apps. Whether you're after a recommendation, stuck on a problem, or want to share a great find, you're in the right place. We're here for real conversation about the apps we actually use, not a feed of ads. The one big rule: value first. This isn't a place to drop a link to your app and vanish. Contribute, help people, and be part of the community. Be civil, stay on topic, and check the rules before posting.

What its rules say about promotion

Value first, promotion second
This community is for genuine discussion, not advertising. You can't drop a link to your app and disappear. If you're an active member who contributes here, helping people, joining discussions, giving feedback, then mentioning your own app in that context is fine. Standalone promo posts, "here's my app, go download it," will be removed. Be honest about pricing, subscriptions, and IAPs, and no asking for upvotes or incentivized reviews.
All 4 rules of r/IPhoneApps
  1. Keep it about iPhone apps
Posts must be about apps for iPhone or iPad. Reviews, recommendations, questions, and discussion all welcome. Off-topic posts, Android-only content, and general Apple/hardware talk belong elsewhere.
  3. Don't be a jerk
Be civil. No harassment, hate, personal attacks, or trashing other people's apps in bad faith. Honest criticism is fine, cruelty isn't. Nothing illegal, pirated, or against Reddit's content policy.
  4. Talk to the mods when needed
Questions about the rules, removals, or anything else go to modmail, not public posts or DMs. We're happy to help.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
