What this page is
This page quotes r/islamabad's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/islamabad's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). What its rules say about promotion
No solicitation for contact, drugs / sex / alcohol posts
Solicitation is not allowed. You are permitted to have discussions, but soliciting contact is not permitted. Solicitation includes (but isn't limited to) buying/selling of drugs, alcohol, sex or looking for sexy friends or basically anything illegal, or encouraging contact without discourse. Permanent bans, no exceptions, on blatant violations!
Be respectful
Be civil. Treat others with respect, avoiding personal attacks, trolling, or inflammatory language. Content promoting hate or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, etc., will be removed. If you have an issue with another Redditor, please report the comment/escalate via modmail.
Limited Buying and Selling for Individuals Only
Individuals may post about buying/selling personal items. Ads with incomplete info (e.g. location, price) will be removed. Business advertising (small, large and everything in between) will be removed. Property / real estate ads are NOT allowed. Please use other websites for such ads. Job/employment ads are not allowed without prior mod approval. Mods may grant discretionary exemptions. Alternative subreddit: r/PakistanMarketplace.
What its rules say about AI and bots
Picture/video posts must have location explicitly mentioned.
Full details must be written in the post, not in a comment. Generic photos/videos with incomplete location details will be removed. The location must be traceable on a map. Guessing posts (gamification) are not allowed. If the content is not yours, give credit to the original source in the post (with the original URL). AI slop will be removed.
AI content
Using AI to improve your own content (e.g. grammar checks) is fine. Using AI to GENERATE synthetic content, however, is not fine - it's very easy to spot AI-generated content (aka AI slop). We do not accept AI slop in this subreddit, and will be removed at the mod's discretion.
All 8 rules of r/islamabad
- Keep it relevant to the twin cities and/or its surroundings
All posts must relate to Islamabad/Rawalpindi, or nearby cities which do not have their own subreddit. National-level news/discussions/concepts are also not intended for this subreddit. Off-topic/irrelevant content will be removed. - No solicitation for contact, drugs / sex / alcohol posts

Moderators may remove content or take action to maintain community standards, even if not explicitly covered by these rules. - AI content
- Comply with Reddit's Content Policy
All content must follow Reddit’s site-wide rules, prohibiting hate speech, harassment, violence, posting personal information, or conducting illegal activities. See Reddit Content Policy for details. No karma farming / hoarding / manipulation / brigading attempts will be permitted, and users will be banned.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
