What this page is

This page quotes r/kenyantechies's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/kenyantechies's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No Sales, No Solicitation
Don’t sell items, crowdfund, or solicit money. Exception: Active members may sell their own items if they follow the 3:1 rule (3 non-promotional posts for every 1 promo).
All 12 rules of r/kenyantechies
  1. Follow Reddit Rules
The one rule to rule them all. Don’t break it, please!
  2. Remember the human.
Be respectful of others and check your insults at the door. Don’t attack or call out other people or communities, and assume good faith of those participating here.
  3. Stay on Topic
Posts must be related to technology, software, hardware, or the tech industry
  4. Be Respectful & Constructive
Treat members kindly and engage in good faith. No harassment, personal attacks, or toxic behavior.
  5. No Sales, No Solicitation
Don’t sell items, crowdfund, or solicit money. Exception: Active members may sell their own items if they follow the 3:1 rule (3 non-promotional posts for every 1 promo).
  6. Job Post Rules
All job posts must include role, type (remote/on-site), pay details, and contact info. Low-effort, vague (“DM for details”), or scam-like posts will be removed without notice. Job opportunities must be shared freely without any fees or charges.
  7. Protect Privacy
Do not share personal information without consent. Respect the privacy of others.
  8. No Piracy
Do not share or request pirated software, links to illegal downloads, or other forms of copyright infringement.
  9. Report Issues
If you see something that violates these rules, report it to the moderators.
  10. No Spam
Keep the feed clean by avoiding vague, irrelevant, and low-effort posts. Contributions should add genuine value to the community rather than serving as a billboard for external links or "karma farming." Violations will result in content removal and potential bans at the moderators' discretion.
  11. Low Quality post
Posts must be clear, genuine, and made to encourage useful discussion. Low-effort content such as rage bait, vague or context-free questions, misleading headlines, exaggerated claims, clickbait, and posts designed mainly to provoke reactions may be removed. Use a descriptive title, provide enough context, and explain why the topic is relevant to Kenya’s tech community.
  12. No Cross-Posting
Do not cross-post or repost content from other subreddits into this community. Posts that have been previously posted in another subreddit may be removed at the moderators' discretion. If you believe content from another community is relevant here, please create an original post that adds meaningful context rather than simply reposting it.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
