Our members love to read but this is not the place to promote books. Try r/books or r/iwroteabook. Posts promoting products or books, as well as general spam posts, will be removed.
No affiliate links
While we all love a deal, we don't want affiliate links (where someone gets payment for sharing the link) as it leads to spam. If you've got a good deal, please post it without an affiliate link.
No giveaways/contests or sales by individuals
r/Kindle is not a place for buying, selling, trading, or giveaways. Buying or selling on Reddit is risky, as it's impossible to confirm that posters are who they say they are, that their advertised item is real, or that they aren't carrying out a scam. Stick to reliable marketplaces with buyer and seller protection.

  1. Spam and Book Promotion
    Our members love to read but this is not the place to promote books. Try r/books or r/iwroteabook. Posts promoting products or books, as well as general spam posts, will be removed.
  2. Respect other users
    Be respectful to other users. Offensive posts, including racism, sexism and homophobia, will be removed. Argue with the points people make, not the person. Take part in discussions, don't troll to get a reaction.
  3. No affiliate links
    While we all love a deal, we don't want affiliate links (where someone gets payment for sharing the link) as it leads to spam. If you've got a good deal, please post it without an affiliate link.
  4. Keep it on topic
    This sub is for discussion about Kindle devices, the Kindle apps, and related content. Posts not related to this may be removed. This rule is relaxed on a Sunday and a wider range of topics are allowed, including memes and book discussion. Fire Tablets are not Kindles - Amazon removed them from the Kindle brand shortly after launch. Visit r/kindlefire for these.
  5. No piracy, encouraging piracy, or piracy "how-to"
    Be considerate to the creators. Without their work, we'd have nothing to read. Piracy and copyright are important subjects, but posts on where to get pirated books or encouraging others to pirate books is not allowed and may lead to an instant ban.
  6. No giveaways/contests or sales by individuals
    r/Kindle is not a place for buying, selling, trading, or giveaways.   7. No AI, memes, trolling, copypasta, or low-quality joke posts or comments.
    This sub receives about 40 submissions (posts) per day; not a huge amount, but enough that we have a good community with a nice mix of content. Allowing memes could cause a chain reaction ending with the sub being endlessly populated with them.
  8. Post Flairs
    Post flairs help people find the information they want. All posts must have a flair, and it should match the content of your post.
  9. DRM Removal
    Kindle books often have DRM protection for copyright reasons. While removing DRM is allowed in some locations, this can also be used for piracy, which is against sub rules. To minimise this, discussions on how to remove DRM, including calling out the tools by name, are not allowed.
  10. No duplicate posts
    If you're posting a question, please search to check if it has already been answered. If you're sharing news, please search to make sure it's not already been shared. If there is a megathread, please post in that instead.
  11. Mark posts as NSFW
    If your post includes any content that features sexual content, nudity, violence, or other graphic content, you must mark the post as NSFW. This includes screenshots or photos showing: text from a book, illustrations in a book, or any Kindle accessories.
