What this page is
This page quotes r/lastfm's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-13. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/lastfm's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
Do not promote your music and mixes
Again, as this is a Last.fm subreddit, it's not the right place to share your latest song, mix or mixtape.
All 6 rules of r/lastfm
- Please play nice
Please be civil in your communications with other users, even when you disagree. Also note that there is a zero tolerance policy on racism, sexism, homophobia and other hateful content. - No non-Last.fm content or playlists
This subreddit is dedicated to Last.fm. General music discussions are welcome as long as the opening post has direct relevance to Last.fm. There are other subreddits to post content from other services and to share your playlists. - Do not promote your music and mixes
Again, as this is a Last.fm subreddit, it's not the right place to share your latest song, mix or mixtape. - Correctly flair your posts
We have a number of flairs available, to cover every type of thread you may wish to create. Please select the correct one to help users filter out posts that do not interest them. This is especially important if sharing a chart or milestone, and on compatibility checks. All posts featuring an image of a chart should have the "Chart" or "Milestone" flair, regardless of intent to have a discussion/game etc based on the contents. - Set the NSFW flag as appropriate (check your charts!)
When you share a chart, please take a look to ensure there are no NSFW images in it, and set the flag if there is. - Significant milestones only, please
You are welcome to share your latest scrobble milestone (or other interesting milestones, such as artist count) here, but please stick to significant numbers. We may remove posts celebrating, for example, 41k or 109k, at our discretion. (Also, "69" and "420" have been done many times before, you're not the first to have that idea!)
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
