What its rules say about AI and bots

Clickbait, sensationalism, editorialised, and AI-generated content
Posts should avoid this type of low quality content.
All 9 rules of r/Leeds
  1. On-topic / behaviour
Submissions and comments need to be on topic, and adhere to both [redditquette](https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439) + the site's [Content Policy](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy). Post titles **must** relate to the content. 90-day repost restriction.
  2. Spam / self-promotion / advertising
[Spam](https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043504051), and self promotion are not generally permitted. We have weekly **Self-promotion** (Sunday) and **"What's on?"** (Wednesday) posts for specific purposes. Rules are stated in each post. 3. Academic research only
Requesting participation in research is generally allowed, for your own UK-based **academic** research only. Submissions **must** include summary information about the research **in text form** (to allow readers to understand what they would be getting involved with up front) and the academic institution at which the research is being done (schools and FE colleges can remain nameless). Please add the 'Academic' flair to these submissions.
  4. No NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content
NSFW content is not generally allowed - this includes hookup requests and similar. If you are not sure whether your post is acceptable, [contact the mod team](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/leeds).
  5. No requests for financial assistance
We cannot verify the legitimacy of such requests. Whilst reddit is not necessarily a good place to get this sort of help, there are subreddits with this purpose such as /r/Assistance/ or /r/Donation/
  6. Job opportunities/recruitment
Posts offering job opportunities/recruitment are only permitted by exception - [contact the mod team](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/leeds) and be prepared to include a numeric salary/hourly rate or range in addition to an outline of the role.
  7. Clickbait, sensationalism, editorialised, and AI-generated content
Posts should avoid this type of low quality content.
  8. Selling / Reselling / Giveaways
Allowed only by exception. Event tickets resold via an *official* channel is currently permitted. [Contact the mod team](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/leeds) if you are unsure if your post would be acceptable.
  9. Accommodation posts for advice only
Posts regarding accommodation are for general advice only (areas, amenities, transport etc). Asking for help finding a property or a tenant is not allowed - there are sites and agencies for that.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
