What this page is

This page quotes r/LondonTravel's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/LondonTravel's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No spam or self-promotion.
This includes, but is not limited to, links to YouTube and other social media, affiliate links, art, etc.
No resale of tickets
No reselling of tickets for events, travel or anything. We can't verify the sales to make sure such transactions are safe, so it is safer not to have them on the forum.

What its rules say about AI and bots

Double-check AI on your own
If you use an AI tool (including, but not exclusively for trip planning, formatting, directions) you need to do the work to check whether it's accurate or not. Copy-pasting an itinerary for others to do the work of correcting is not permitted. If you don't trust the tool, don't use it. Also, please don't ask questions like we are AI or use AI to help you post questions here.
All 12 rules of r/LondonTravel
  1. Stay on topic
Posts and replies must relate to London travel, or UK/Europe travel that ties into London travel (day trips/city breaks/etc.)
  2. No low-effort posts.
Be specific. "Tips for London?" and similar questions are too broad. Include details such as dates of travel, budget, interests, preferred locations within London, etc.
  4. No spam or self-promotion.
This includes, but is not limited to, links to YouTube and other social media, affiliate links, art, etc.
  5. Be respectful.
Posts and comments should be polite and helpful.
  6. No "meta" posts about this subreddit.
Questions or concerns should be communicated via messaging the mods through Modmail (not directly).
  7. Use the megathread first
We get asked a lot of the same types of questions and we have created megathreads for them. Please review and search the megathread first. If you don't find an answer there or the answer is out of date, then you can post a new thread.
  8. Don't use images for posting your itinerary.
This is very bad for accessibility. Please post your itinerary as text.
  9. London is Safe!
No asking if London is safe. We are aware there is a lot of propaganda on social media about crime in London. All areas in central London are safe.
  10. No resale of tickets
No reselling of tickets for events, travel or anything. We can't verify the sales to make sure such transactions are safe, so it is safer not to have them on the forum.
  11. No Karma farming
Don't create posts (with or without AI) for the purposes of gaining karma. These are considered bad faith posts and are not in the spirit of the sub.
  12. No lonely hearts & requests for company on your London visit
No more posts about looking for meetups on this sub. Please go to r/LondonSocialClub or r/Londonfriends and join a group meetup. You are more likely to meet people there and it will be safer.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
