What its rules say about promotion
No ads other than those that seek specific hiring and for hire ads.
For example no ads for software that assesses one's resume. No posts to promote youtube videos. No posts to promote the services or goods of firms/ companies. No posts to sell accounts, guides, software, and so on.
No manipulative, misleading, or review jobs.
For example, jobs like copy paste some texts on reddit or other similar platforms. These may be with promotion intentions. But these mislead people. So, such posts and comments will be removed and the posters may be permabanned. Reddit admins let us know that such misleading behavior is not acceptable. Review jobs are not necessarily manipulative, but it is likely that they are manipulative; hence, no review jobs (hiring or to be hired). No jobs related to benefiting from accounts of others.
No posts as referrals to job intermediation websites.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
