Mods may exercise discretion in matters not covered by the written rules. Mods may remove or approve content even if it doesn’t break or does break a written rule, when it’s necessary to maintain the safety, quality, purpose, or any other aspect of the subreddit. Doing anything written in Rule No. 2 and 3 to any mod for their moderation may result in a permanent ban. You can criticize them in a civil way.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
