What its rules say about promotion

No Self-Promotion or Unsolicited Advertising
Do not post unsolicited advertisements, spam, self-promotion, or links to commercial products/services unless explicitly approved by a moderator. Rationale: Maintain a user-driven, non-commercial environment. Enforcement: Immediate and permanent ban.
Research and Survey Posts Require Moderator Pre-Approval
Any post attempting to gather information, conduct surveys, or solicit participation for academic or commercial research purposes must be approved by the moderators before posting. Rationale: This protects the safety and privacy of our community members from potential exploitation or malicious data collection. Enforcement: Posts violating this rule will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

Enforcement: Posts violating this rule will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
  8. Dashcam or Self-Explanatory Photos Required

Rationale: Keep the focus on verifiable incidents and reduce subjective "he-said, she-said" arguments. Enforcement: Posts breaking this rule will be removed and may result in a ban.
  9. Specific Posts Prohibited (Ticket, Repair, Parking Complaints)
The following specific topics are prohibited as they clutter the sub and belong elsewhere: Posts solely complaining about poor parking jobs. Questions regarding parking or traffic tickets (ask r/legaladvicecanada). Posts about vehicle repair/modification costs or mechanic recommendations (ask r/askcarsales or r/askmechanics). Rationale: Maintain focus on driving behavior and traffic conditions.
  10. Reposts are Prohibited
Do not repost videos or content that has been recently shared on the subreddit. Rationale: Keep the content fresh and relevant.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
