What this page is
This page quotes r/motorcycles's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/motorcycles's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

- This is not a marketplace
No sale/trade/want-to-buy posts. - No crowdfunding or begging.
- No Regional or Hyperlocal Posts
This is a global community. Questions that are not relevant to the majority of our audience are prohibited. This includes financial questions like "what is this bike worth", "is this a good deal?" and "how much should I be paying for insurance?". - Post Title Etiquette
Post titles must be specific. - Vague post titles are not accepted. (hint: Your post title should be a full sentence with a subject and a verb) - ALL-CAPS post titles are not accepted. - Clickbait post titles are not accepted. - This isn't facebook/instagram/tiktok, hashtags don't work here. - We are not training an AI model. Describing the contents of an image is not sufficient. - Pandering, attention-seeking. (ex: "Any love for X?" , "My bike, thoughts?" ) - Not Motorcycle Related
This includes but is not limited to: - Posts where a motorcycle isn't the focus. - Scooters, trikes, e-bikes, and mopeds. - Medical or financial advice. - Music you listen to. - Food motorcyclists like. - Photos of your dog/cat/kid/etc. that happen to include a motorcycle. - Relationship advice (e.g. "How do I convince my parents?") - Electronics/gadget tech support. - Local weather. - Road trip destinations. - Projects using motorcycle parts (e.g. "I put a Hayabusa engine in my Miata") - This is an English only subreddit.
- Tech support posts must include identifying information
Year, make, model, etc. - Lurker/Karma Farm
Lurkers (accounts that do not engage with this community) and/or karma farmers will be banned on the spot.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
