Can you promote on r/PakCricket?

Self-promotion restricted Its rules restrict self-promotion. Posts that promote your own work are likely to be removed.

What this page is

This page quotes r/PakCricket's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/PakCricket's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No Self-Promotion or Crowdfunding Without Approval
Advertising your YouTube channel, blog, or asking for money? Contact the mods first. Unapproved plugs get the chop.
No Pirate or Unofficial Streams Allowed
Sharing, requesting, or promoting pirate or unofficial streams is strictly prohibited. Users caught doing so will face an immediate permanent ban with no right to appeal. Support official broadcasters and keep it legal.
All 12 rules of r/PakCricket
  1. Keep It Cricket-Related
Posts and discussions must focus on Pakistani cricket (international, domestic, or players). Off-topic posts—like politics, religion, or unrelated sports rants—will be removed unless directly tied to cricket’s impact (e.g., a match cancellation due to external events). Even then, stick to the cricket angle.
  2. No Trolling or Flame-Baiting
Don’t come here to stir trouble, provoke fights, or trash-talk for the sake of it. Take that energy to Twitter. We’re here for cricket, not chaos.
  3. No Personal Attacks or Hate Speech
Criticize a player’s performance? Fair game. Insult their character, family, or fling slurs (racial, religious, or otherwise)? Out of bounds. Same goes for fellow redditors—keep it respectful.
  4. Post Quality Matters
Titles should clearly reflect your post’s content—no clickbait or vague nonsense like “Thoughts?” or “Wow.” If linking an article or tweet, don’t twist the headline. Low-effort spam, duplicate posts, or video compilations that don’t spark discussion will be removed.
  5. No Brigading or Vote Manipulation
Linking to other subreddits? Use np.reddit.com to avoid brigading. Don’t beg for upvotes or rally folks to downvote elsewhere—let’s keep it clean.
  6. Politics and Religion Stay on the Sidelines
Unless it’s directly about cricket (e.g., a tour affected by geopolitics), leave political and religious debates out. We’re a sports sub, not a soapbox.
  7. No Self-Promotion or Crowdfunding Without Approval
Advertising your YouTube channel, blog, or asking for money? Contact the mods first. Unapproved plugs get the chop.
  8. English and Urdu Welcome, Translations Required for Other Languages
Posts and comments can be in English or Urdu—both are equally welcome. If you use other regional languages of Pakistan (e.g., Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi), include a translation in English or Urdu so everyone can follow along.
  9. Other Sports? Results, Match Threads, or Schedules Only
Want to hype up Pakistan’s achievements in football, squash, or other sports? You can post results, share an official match thread, or post a schedule—no analysis or discussion beyond that. This keeps the focus on cricket while celebrating Pakistan’s sporting spirit.
  10. No Pirate or Unofficial Streams Allowed
Sharing, requesting, or promoting pirate or unofficial streams is strictly prohibited. Users caught doing so will face an immediate permanent ban with no right to appeal. Support official broadcasters and keep it legal.
  11. Moderator Discretion Applies
Mods reserve the right to remove content or ban users who disrupt the community, even if it’s not explicitly listed here. If you think we got it wrong, message us to appeal (except for Rule 10 violations).
  12. No Unverified News
News must be fairly verified by established sources. No gossiping, hearsay or screenshots of random accounts from various social media sites.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
