What this page is
This page quotes r/phRecommendation's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-10. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/phRecommendation's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). - Respect Community Guidelines
Follow Reddit’s general community rules. Any posts violating Reddit's content policies, such as spamming, harassment, or promoting illegal products, will result in immediate removal and possible bans. Disagreeing with a review is allowed, but personal attacks on the reviewer are not. Focus on discussing the product, not the individual. Provide constructive feedback if necessary. Disrespectful comments will not be tolerated. Let's keep the community respectful and educational. - Personal Experience is Mandatory
Product reviews must include your personal experience. This ensures authenticity and provides assurance to the community. Sharing how you used the product and what your experience was is vital for genuine feedback. - Detailed Reviews Required
Your review must include specific details beyond personal experience, such as: 1. Functionality 2. Build Quality 3. Price point 4. Pros and Cons 5. Overall Verdict We aim to prevent low-quality, biased reviews and ensure transparency. Attach a photo or video as proof of purchase when reviewing a product. This adds credibility and helps maintain the authenticity of the reviews. Screenshots of online purchases are acceptable. We’re committed to upholding high standards for the community. - Use Clear and Descriptive Titles
When posting a review or recommendation, use clear, descriptive titles. This makes it easier for others to find reviews on specific products. Vague titles like “Great product!” will be removed or asked to be edited.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
