What this page is
This page quotes r/Pomade's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-09. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Pomade's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion
No Blatant Advertising or Shills
If you wish to promote your brand, products, offers, Youtube, blog, or any other business related social media, make it a quality post. We want to avoid promoting cheap, inferior, misleading, or irrelevant products on this subreddit. Low effort posts/links, repetitive comments, blatant advertising, and biased recommendations, is strictly not allowed. Do not promote products if you are in some way affiliated with the company (shilling). Even if you don't get paid or benefit from it directly.
Biased or sponsored content may be limited/removed
We are aware of pomade reviewers getting paid money to create sponsored content in the form of product placement, links or mentions within videos or blogs. Content like this may be carefully reviewed as to prevent promoting videos or blogs that may be misleading, biased or an actual ad in disguise. Also, reviewers who have or have been known to have had exclusivity deals, sponsorships, affiliations, or similar arrangements with other retailers may be removed for the same reasons.
All 9 rules of r/Pomade
- No Blatant Advertising or Shills
If you wish to promote your brand, products, offers, Youtube, blog, or any other business related social media, make it a quality post. We want to avoid promoting cheap, inferior, misleading, or irrelevant products on this subreddit. Low effort posts/links, repetitive comments, blatant advertising, and biased recommendations, is strictly not allowed. Do not promote products if you are in some way affiliated with the company (shilling). Even if you don't get paid or benefit from it directly. - No low effort links to reviews
If you want to post a link to a review, at least write a short summary comment to go along with it and generate discussion. Many users don't like clicking links or are unable to watch videos while at work. Some users dislike Facebook or Instagram in the first place. If you want to get visibility, up votes, comments, praise and valuable feedback, the best thing you can do is bring the content here. For video links, write a short summary with key points. - No unrealistic hair style achievement requests
There is no such thing as a product that will magically and effortlessly create the hairstyle from a photo you saw on google. Some hairstyles require you to have the same hair type in the first place. Although there are some fantastic products out there, it is very important to understand that achieving a particular hairstyle is more about experience, skill, and technique rather than the product itself. - No Politics, drama/gossip, religious or racial topics
This is a Pomade group, Posts or comments discussing sensitive subjects such as race, politics, religion, or drama from other Pomade groups may be deleted. Same for posts or comments attacking people, groups, or brands. - Respect, Tolerance, and heated discussions
Be respectful and mindful of our fellow users in your posts and comments. Many users may not have much knowledge within the pomade world, those with more knowledge should be helpful and considerate in their advice and opinions. Hateful, insulting, or otherwise negative comments and posts are subject to removal. Any discussions that get too heated may also be removed/locked. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned. - Limit mass-produced/salon product posts
Posts about mass produced/salon type products will be limited. Many salon styling products are simply not in line with the pomade community and homebrewing in general. They are also of a lower quality than those made within the pomade community or small brewers due to ingredients and preservatives used. We like to support small business and hand made products. This specifically applies to TikTok slop products, such as Based Bodyworks. - Biased or sponsored content may be limited/removed
- No low effort posts or cross-posts
No low effort posts and cross-posts - Keep posts on topic
This is a pomade sub. Posts may be removed at moderator discretion if they would be better suited for a different sub.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
