Welcome to r/private_equity! This is a sub for general discussion, news, analysis and career advice relating to one of the least understood, but increasingly important asset classes: Private Equity.
What its rules say about promotion
Strictly no (self-)promotion or solicitation threads or spam, including research targeting PE firms
Do not post or comment your YouTube, twitter, discord, app, tool, blog, referral code, event, survey, or attempt to solicit business. We generally expect that people who come here are not using the sub to build a brand, generate clicks, develop their app, validate ideas or market research, or perform business development. Spammy posts (ai, copy/pasting across many subs, bot activity) will be removed at mod discretion.
No fundraising activities.
Fundraising, capital solicitation, and investment promotion are strictly prohibited. This community does not permit posts seeking financial contributions, investment opportunities, or capital raises of any nature. Such content will be removed upon identification.

Content must relate to Private Equity as an asset class. This does include M&A, LBO, venture capital, PIPEs, and even IPOs. Posts that discuss individual corporate entities should reflect their participation in the private markets - i.e. submitting a stock pitch would not be allowed, but analysis of a public equity that is being taken private would be fine. - No fundraising activities.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
