What this page is

This page quotes r/queer's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/queer's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Advertising
Advertising is only allowed on Mondays. On Mondays users are allowed to advertise merchandise from queer owned businesses only.
All 10 rules of r/queer
  1. No TERFs/Transmedicalists. Period.
If you’re a TERF or Transmedicalist, you’re not welcome here; this applies to your entire post/comment history. We don’t care if your post/comment on this sub is TERFy or not. Get out.
  2. No Bigotry
Definition of Bigotry for this sub: Regarding or treating the members of a group (such as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred, condescension, and/or disrespect. Groups covered by that definition do NOT include any that create, support, or perpetuate intolerance of the queer community, POC communities, or any other minority groups.
  3. Advertising
Advertising is only allowed on Mondays. On Mondays users are allowed to advertise merchandise from queer owned businesses only.
  4. No NSFW Photos/Explicit Content
This isn't a porn sub, take it somewhere else. r/queer will be maintained as a safe space for queer people of all ages. Mature topics are allowed with the NSFW tag, as long as they aren't unnecessarily graphic.
  5. Links to Merch
Links to store pages are only allowed on Mondays. Please tag your post with the "Merch Mondays" flair.
  6. No Soliciting
There will be no tolerance of crowd funding for anything other than legitimate organizations that must get approval by the mods. Soliciting views, study engagement, or followers in any way is prohibited. Looking for friends or community, however is allowed. As long as your post isn’t breaking any of the other rules, you’re welcome to post about discords and look for people to talk to.
  7. No Reposts (Unless Organizing)
Posting the same post multiple times is not allowed. If your post has been posted to more than one other sub, it will be marked as spam and removed. The only exception is for people trying to organize marches or other events to fight for our rights. Reposts for organizing are limited to 1 per month.
  8. User Flair
User Flair should be limited to including pronouns, sexuality, and gender identity descriptors. All flairs should also adhere to all other Community/Reddit Rules.
  9. No BS
If you’re suspected of trolling, rage baiting, or anything else that involves pissing people off for your amusement, you will be banned.
  10. No Gatekeeping
This sub recognizes labels for self-identification ONLY. There are a variety of Queer cultures around the world that have diverse histories and subtext regarding any label, and it is not your place to decide how people can identify.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
