Can you promote on r/rape?
No rule mentions promotion None of its rules mentions self-promotion. That is not permission: read every rule, say plainly that it's yours, and make the post useful on its own.
What this page is
This page quotes r/rape's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/rape's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

All survivors/victims of sexual violence, their families, and friends are welcome here.
All 9 rules of r/rape
- Victim-blaming
Victim-blaming comments will be deleted and their posters will be immediately banned. - Antagonistic discourse
Antagonistic discourse against victims of any sort will not be tolerated, and *will* result in a ban. - Baseless conjecture
Baseless conjecture is neither necessary nor welcome here. This means no "Well, maybe he *x*, and maybe she *y*," and no unjustified suspicion of people posting here for support. - Political discussion
Posts containing political discussion or news items will be removed. - Prejudice
As always, the obvious posts containing misogyny, transphobia, racism, or any other type of bigotry will be removed. This includes the use of slurs (gendered, racial, or otherwise) as these constitute hate speech. - Prior permission for researchers required
ALL "studies," surveys, and requests for similar **MUST** be vetted by the moderation team. If you have a scholarly affiliation it is more than likely your project will be approved, but please keep within good faith and message the mods before posting. - Invalidation
Invalidating other people's experiences won't be tolerated. - Stay within the law
Advising victims to take extralegal action against their attackers is not appropriate. This includes "outing" them on this sub, which is a violation of Reddit sitewide rules. - No invitations to PM
Please do not request people to PM you or send them unsolicited messages. Help us make sure content is above-board by posting your advice publicly. PMs have great potential for abuse.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
