What its rules say about promotion
No advertising non-Reddit alternatives
- You are only allowed to advertise Reddit alternatives (while follow the submission guidelines as stated in the rules). You should also explain how your alternative is similar to Reddit. - Promoting other sites like YouTube, Twitch, blogs, merch stores, etc. will result in the post/comment being removed.
Secure websites only
All websites must be secure and safe to visit for the user. - Websites must start with HTTPS. HTTP is not allowed due to security hazards. Links without HTTPS will be removed. Examples of malware in websites include (but are not limited to): - Hosts malicious downloads - Cookie loggers - Phishing attacks - Shady popups (or adware) - Fake alerts - Worms - Trojans - Ransomware **If your website contains malware, you will be permanently banned without appeal.**
Relevant to Reddit Alternatives
Keep everything on-topic. All posts must be related to Reddit Alternatives. They don't always have to be submissions for a new alternative, but they need to be about Reddit or its alternatives. This means no meme posts, advertising, or other low-quality and irrelevant posts.
Do not use incorrect post flairs
Post flairs are used to distinguish the type of post, or the type of alternative you are promoting. People promoting an alternative should never select "general discussion" or "looking for alternatives". A post-promoting your own Reddit alternative needs to describe with the flair whether it is centralized, siloed, federated, or web3. Attempts to deliberately obfuscate the type of Reddit alternative used. Will result in disciplinary action.
No promoting subreddits
Do not promote subreddits here. Users promoting subreddits will be banned at moderator discretion temporarily or permanently. Sas or rudeness will guarantee a permaban.

Though not required, try to add comments to the headline beyond the alternative's name or domain, such as what makes it unique, or its elevator pitch. What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
