What its rules say about promotion

Self Promotion Guidelines
When sharing your external content ensure it adds value and first consider if it could be uploaded here directly instead. Otherwise maintain a 10:1 ratio of valuable contributions to this community (posts and comments within the last 3 months) for each promotional post. This rule covers content leading to any kinds of followers, members, or revenue; Simple watermarks are fine but avoid "calls to action" for external subscriptions. Promotion of paid goods or services of any kind is not allowed.

What its rules say about AI and bots

Miscellaneous Guidelines
Friend-Finding is not allowed. Posts about bans (In-game or other) or report feedback are not allowed, unless they serve a clear greater purpose. Low effort A.I. generated content is not allowed, and AI content must be labeled as such. Give credit when appropriate. Do not claim the content of others as your own.
All 7 rules of r/RocketLeague
  1. Only Rocket League related content
This subreddit is exclusively for content related to Rocket League. All submissions must directly pertain to Rocket League, off-topic comments, inappropriate, political and unrelated content is not allowed. Posts that are only tangentially linked, via title or content, will be removed. Some examples include reaction gifs and pictures of items found “in real life.” Exceptions can be made if the content is a meme or is edited into one.
  2. Behavioral guidelines
To ensure a healthy and inclusive community environment, users are expected to maintain a respectful and mature tone. Avoid spam, harassment, insults, encouragement of harm, hate speech and discrimination, even if it is in a joking manner. Publicly shaming or accusing individuals is not allowed. Posts containing toxic behavior are only allowed if they serve a greater purpose and if all usernames are censored. Posts on public figures are allowed if there is substantial evidence to support it.
  3. Avoid Low Effort & Duplicate Content
Avoid low-effort and repetitive submissions. Generic statements, “shitposts”, rants and low-quality submissions may be removed. Use available resources like Google, Reddit search or pinned posts to find answers before posting to help prevent duplicate content. Images/clips of in-game achievements/results/item drops are not allowed without a greater purpose. Use screen-capture software or your device’s sharing features where possible to create clear, high quality and cropped screenshots/videos.
  4. Title and Flair Guidelines
Titles should accurately reflect the post's topic with reasonable length. Avoid excessively short, long, or nondescript titles. Karma-seeking, clickbait, "guess my rank", or self-deprecating titles are not permitted. Meme posts have room for leniency; Posts must be flaired correctly.
  5. Self Promotion Guidelines

Promotion of paid goods or services of any kind is not allowed.
  6. No Terms and Agreements violations
As the official Rocket League Subreddit, we collaborate closely with Psyonix staff. To maintain this partnership, avoid publicizing information not meant to be public or (encourage) violating any agreements with Epic Games, Psyonix or other platforms. Additionally, discussions, links, or information about cheats, exploits and piracy are strictly prohibited. Violating this rule may result in a permanent ban without warning.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
