This includes offering free or paid products or services. If you want to refer to your web site **do not explicitly link** to it, just include the domain name, no "https://", or "www" prefix, and definitely no link.
Posts must be detailed and contain your reason for asking and own experience
This is not the place to research your blog post/B2B business Overly open questions, without specifics as to what you are trying to do and why you are asking, is likely to result in your post being removed. You must give information about your own situation, and about why you are asking a particular question.
90% of your reddit activity must be non-self-promotional

  7. No comments of "just ask an accountant/lawyer/professional" implying that reddit is the wrong place
    "Just ask a professional" is a "valid" answer to almost every question asked, but it is absolutely vacuous and adds no value. It pays to do research before spending; understanding your options and the possible outcomes is valuable. Professionals aren't gods, they do make mistakes and they don't know everything, so there could easily be some extra interesting points that a fellow business owner could contribute. The whole point of this subreddit is for peers to advise each other.
  8. You must give enough detail to help us help you
    You must give plenty of detail to answer your question. Don't make our community have to ask you repeated questions just to get the detail needed to give you an answer. You do the work to write everything out, your fellow community members will provide knowledge. If you're asking about setting up a business you should expect to write around 500 words about your situation, experience, the company structure, which sector you're working in and what your rough budget is.
  9. No discussion of unlawful activities
    Includes criminal and civil law such as: * Piracy * Theft (including non-payment of services) * Fraudulent loan defaults * Customs fraud * Tax evasion Hypothetical discussions are subject to the same rules.
  10. No freebie/taster/portfolio development offers
    Related to rule 2, this subreddit does not permit offers of free goods or services including but not limited to: * Website creation * Social media management * Business consultancy

    Reddit is an online discussion platform whose strength is the public discussions that people can have and which others can therefore join in and learn from. This subreddit is a highly collaborative community and subscribes to this idea fully. As well as our other rules which do not permit using the subreddit to solicit business, it is *especially* forbidden to "hit and run" a thread with an invite to have a private discussion while not attempting to answer the question or share insight.
