What this page is
This page quotes r/snooker's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/snooker's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
Do not promote or encourage piracy
Do not advocate for, encourage the use of, or post links to, bootleg snooker streams or methods on how to bypass geoblocking restrictions on official broadcast streams.
Please don't sell or tout items (including tickets)
/r/snooker isn't a marketplace and Reddit should not be used as one either. Don’t sell, trade, or link to items (such as tickets or merchandise) sold on unauthorised reselling platforms, here.
What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI generated content [images, text etc]
Please do not post content generated by any AI tools, as it causes distrust in the accuracy of images or text.
All 8 rules of r/snooker
- Do not be hateful or toxic towards the snooker community
Sharing a critical opinion and discussing what you see in the sport is fine: abuse of others is not. Hateful and toxic posts regarding other community users, as well as commentators, players, referees, officials and so on will be removed unconditionally; those who repeatedly act in a toxic/negative manner will be banned. - Do not promote or encourage piracy
Do not advocate for, encourage the use of, or post links to, bootleg snooker streams or methods on how to bypass geoblocking restrictions on official broadcast streams. - No AI generated content [images, text etc]
Please do not post content generated by any AI tools, as it causes distrust in the accuracy of images or text. - No rage bait, karma-farming or generally low-quality contributions
Posts or comments which are designed solely for the purposes of rage-baiting members or artificially increasing the users' karma rating don't improve the community of /r/snooker and will generally be removed. Memes and shitposts are fine though! - Please don't sell or tout items (including tickets)
/r/snooker isn't a marketplace and Reddit should not be used as one either. Don’t sell, trade, or link to items (such as tickets or merchandise) sold on unauthorised reselling platforms, here. - Remain on-topic with regards to snooker.
This is a snooker community: posts and comments should generally attempt to stay on-topic to that goal. Irrelevant comments, posts or similar will be removed. - Please be considerate of others when posting results or match scores in titles
Please try to make a concerted effort not to spoil match results too quickly in post titles for matches which have just concluded. For on-going tournaments, please use the sticky thread for sharing information about that tournament (which is always flaired with the "Tournament Discussion" tag). - Do not abuse the "flairs" feature
Users are permitted to set their own flair in the community. However, should users abuse this with offensive or inappropriate content, it will be removed and repeat offenders will be banned. Extreme misuse of the flairs' feature will lead to instant removal.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
