What this page is

This page quotes r/springfieldMO's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-10. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/springfieldMO's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No Spam/GoFundMe/Referral Codes
**No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion** Do not post spam, referral codes, or fundraising links. Local businesses and creators are welcome to participate in the community, but please contribute to discussions beyond promoting your own work. Keep promotional posts in the weekly content creators thread.
All 10 rules of r/springfieldMO
  1. No Verbal Attacks / Hate Speech / Rude Comments
Treat other people with respect. Disagree with ideas without insulting the person. Verbal attacks, hate speech, and rude comments are not allowed.
  2. No Personal or Confidential Information
Do not post someone else’s personal or confidential information, whether or not they use Reddit.
  3. No threatening, harassing, or inciting violence
Do not threaten, harass, or encourage violence against anyone. Do not organize attempts to identify or target a person. You may share reporting about charges filed against an individual when it comes from a credible local news source.
  5. Do not editorialize news links
Use the article’s headline as your post title. Put your opinion in the comments. If the headline does not work, use an accurate quote from the article. For videos, use the video title or an accurate quote from the video.
  6. No Duplicate Posts
Check recent posts before submitting. We may remove a post if the same story or topic was recently shared, even when it comes from a different source.
  7. No off-topic or irrelevant content
Posts must be relevant to Springfield, Missouri, or the surrounding area. See our [policy on political posts](https://www.reddit.com/r/springfieldMO/s/NtemZCkXqO).
  8. Absolutely no pictures of geese
If someone has posted a picture of geese within the last week, under no circumstances should another picture be posted of geese (this includes ducks but not swans) within a period of 7 days. If you are unsure where to post, please post in an existing thread or ask the mod team.
  9. No Unverified Serious Accusations
Do not accuse a private individual of a crime or serious misconduct without a verifiable source, such as established news reporting, a police report, or a court record. Moderators do not decide whether an allegation is true, but we will remove unsupported accusations.
  10. No Dating, Hookup, or Personal Ads
This is a local community subreddit, not a dating or hookup forum. Do not post personals, solicit dates or hookups, or share NSFW content.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
