What this page is
This page quotes r/synthesia's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-13. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/synthesia's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about promotion
No sharing or advertising of paid content.
Sharing purchased song files is forbidden. Posting - or requesting posts of - content that was distributed by a paid entity is not allowed. You may not use this community to advertise the sale of your own content, either. Multiple infractions (posting or requesting paid content) will result in a ban.
All 4 rules of r/synthesia
- Song posts must contain a link to freely download content. Do not use URL shorteners.
The rule initially allowed content providers to have a download link in a YouTube description. This has required moderators to check every YouTube post manually, which became tedious. Despite this it was still allowed, but we started seeing posts where the "free download" link in YouTube descriptions was a bitly link to a patreon (or other funding) site. As has been covered in depth, this sub's purpose is to provide an alternative - not an extention - to the already healthy for-profit avenues. - No sharing or advertising of paid content.

No politics. No current events unless they relate directly to Synthesia or the piano. Discussing musicians and their craft is allowed, but celebrity news and lifestyles chat will be removed. - Reread Rules 1-3. Seriously.
We've never had a warning about any rule be politely heeded - not even once - so violations are now instant permabans.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
