What this page is

This page quotes r/Terraria's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Terraria's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Limit self-promotion
Sharing of your own content is allowed, but it must follow the [reddit self-promotion rules](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion).
All 12 rules of r/Terraria
  1. Only Terraria related content
Keep it on-topic. Pictures of real-life things or things from other games that resemble things found in Terraria are subject to moderator discretion
  2. English language only
This is an English speaking community, follow the [reddiquette](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette) and please [search the subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/terraria/search?q=&restrict_sr=on&sort=new&t=all) before posting, to avoid regularly asked questions and topics.
  3. No bad behaviour
    - - Follow the [Reddiquette](https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439) when posting and commenting (e.g. do not use FULLY CAPITALISED WORDS). - Doxing (releasing personal information) - Homophobia, sexism, racism or any other derogatory language - Purposefully inciting arguments - Personal attacks, harassment and threats - No posts about political/controversial subject matter - No explicit content. Depending upon the severity of the offense a warning or instant ban may be given.
  4. Mark spoilers
Rule applies to all of the content which was added in the latest update for the first 7 days. Any posts which contain spoilers must use the “spoiler” flair and do not include spoilers in the title, [refer to this post for more details](https://www.reddit.com/r/Terraria/wiki/spoiler).
  5. Limit self-promotion
Sharing of your own content is allowed, but it must follow the [reddit self-promotion rules](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion).
  6. Failure to provide proper attribution
    - All builds/art/memes/etc. should be your own. Please make every effort to find the original author of a work, such as by reverse image searching. Reposting is acceptable, but you must provide proper attribution to the original artist, for instance by linking to the original or mentioning the user in a comment. If you cannot properly source a creation, you must still indicate that it is not your own.
  7. No game begging, trading, or baiting
This only applies to objects of real world monetary value! Do not beg for free copies of the game, offer to trade for a copy of the game, or bait others into asking for a free copy of the game. *(Note: This rule does not apply to trading in-game items)*
  8. No low quality/effort submissions
    - No low quality/effort submissions. This means a post with one sentence in the body is not acceptable. Quality of the post will be determined by moderator discretion. - Posts about playtime and achievements will be removed. - Polls on frequently asked subjects (which class, which boss is easiest/hardest, etc.) will be removed.
  9. No memes outside of weekends
Memes are allowed only during weekends.
  10. No duplicate posts
Please [search the subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/terraria/search?q=&restrict_sr=on&sort=new&t=all) before posting, to avoid regularly asked questions and topics. For submissions such as Tweets or blog posts duplicates will be removed, preserving the earliest. It is the discretion of the moderators to keep a later post or to make their own one if it has a more appropriate or better title.
  11. No piracy links or requests
Discussion of piracy is allowed, however encouraging and giving information on how to pirate the game will not be tolerated. Anyone who provides links to pirated copies of the game will be banned immediately, without warning. Asking for support with a pirated copy of the game (including multiplayer, getting updates, etc.) is also strictly not allowed.
  12. No game help posts
Easily answered game related questions should be asked within the current Weekly questions thread which can be found as the top pinned post of the Subreddit. Questions that require an image (like Technical game issues/In-game housing) are an exception. At times when there is no current Weekly Question thread users are permitted to make a separate post.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
