This page quotes r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion

No Advertising / Promotion / Research
If you have an interesting outside source to share (e.g. Blogs, YouTube channels, products, etc), we ask that you don't advertise in the form of a post. Comments to relevant posts are acceptable. No Market Research or Research Study Recruitment. [See Guidelines for self-promotion on reddit](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion).
All 9 rules of r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide
  1. Post title must represent content and be relevant to TGSG
Your title must clearly represent the content and be relevant to TGSG (is a tip or asking for help). Therefore, post title should contain one of the following: Tip, Request, Help, ?, or Review. Posts that asking "Does anyone else..." or for general experiences about a topic are not appropriate for this subreddit.
  2. No duplicate posts
Please check to see if your tip/request has been previously posted.
  4. No requesting relationship advice
Relationships include romantic, platonic, family, or work relationships. If it’s about your specific issue, it’s not quite right for this sub. General topics and tips are allowed. Questions asking about why an individual is having difficulty dating or similar topics are not allowed.
  5. No requesting medical help
Please refrain from requesting medical help. We care about your health and that is precisely why we ask that you please see a doctor. If it is an emergency, go to urgent care or the emergency room.
  6. Posts asking for help with outfits or fashion decisions are limited to Wardrobe Wednesdays
    * Any outfit or fashion advice posts on other days will be removed with a gentle reminder that they can be posted on Wednesdays. This includes questions about undergarments such as underwear and bras. * General "What's my body type" posts are not allowed. * Check out our list of related subs below under the heading of ''Fashion'' for help and advice on any day of the week.
  7. Posts asking for help with hair/make-up/skincare/personal style are limited to Fabulous Fridays.
    * Any hair/make-up/skincare/personal style related posts on other days will be removed with a gentle reminder that they can be posted on Fridays. * Posts must ask specific questions. General "Glow Up" posts are no longer allowed. * Check out our list of related subs below under the heading of ''Beauty'' for help and advice on any day of the week.
  8. Be nice, respectful, helpful, and friendly
Don't insult people or their good intentions even if a person seems ill-informed. Remember the positive spirit of TheGirlSurvivalGuide and keep in mind the sitewide [reddiquette guidelines](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette). This sub welcomes all women, except TERFs. They can fuck right off.
  9. 9. Period product related posts are only allowed on Menstruation Mondays.
Posts asking about how to use period related products, recommendations for products, questions about difficulty using products, etc are only allowed on Mondays.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
