This page quotes r/therapists's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/therapists's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about AI and bots
AI-related posts must comply with our sub guidelines
Stand-alone posts about AI must raise a specific ethical, clinical, or professional issue relevant to therapy practice that has not already been discussed in the subreddit. General discussions about AI (e.g., “Will AI replace therapists?”, “What do you think about AI?”, client use of AI, experiences with AI tools, or news articles about AI) belong in the AI Megathread. Posts that do not raise a clear ethical or clinical question relevant to practice may be removed.
Participate in Good Faith - no AI-Generated Responses
This forum is for professional people to share their experiences and support while working in the mental health field. Responses that are clearly copy-pasted from artificial intelligence or chatgpt-like sources are considered inauthentic and will be removed.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
