What this page is

This page quotes r/UKJobs's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/UKJobs's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

A community intended to provide a place for users wanting to ask questions or create discussions, all related to the UK and jobs within the UK. This is NOT a jobs board. Make sure to read the rules before posting or commenting. It is an assumption that by posting on this subreddit you already have a right to work in the UK, if not, there are better subreddits/websites for that information.

What its rules say about AI and bots

Remain relevant and respectful at all times.
A right to work in the UK is assumed. Don't ask about it here, there are other resources out there dedicated to that. Try r/UKVisa Posts must relate to the UK. Be kind and respectful. Conversations, not arguments. Don't get too political. No surveys. No low effort screenshot posts. This is not the place to discuss suicide. Titles should be clear and descriptive. Direct links only, no obfuscation. No sankey charts. No bots or LLMs. Organic content only. Use the search function.
All 4 rules of r/UKJobs
  1. Always provide the source. Don't obfuscate details about an employer or a job, unless personal.
Conversations about a job listing (e.g. low pay, peculiar requirements, etc) must include either the name of the employer or include in the comments under the post a direct link to the specific job listing. Provide the source. The only time we don't demand this is if you're talking about a personal issue, rather than something you've come across on a job board, or dealt with during a recruitment process.
  2. Remain relevant and respectful at all times.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
