All 10 rules of r/unpopularopinionph
  1. Your post must be an actual unpopular opinion
Your post must be an opinion. Not a question. Not a shower thought. Not a rant. Not a proposal. Not a fact. An opinion. Your opinion must be unpopular. The mods reserve the right to remove opinions Elaborate on your topic and opinion, give context to its unpopularity. For rants go to r/OffMyChestPH. Questions should go to r/TanongLang or r/AskPH. For random topics, go to r/CasualPH.
  2. Be civil
This applies to both your behaviour on the sub, and the opinions which you post. Obey the sitewide rules and [reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette). Remain open-minded and open to civil discussion when posting and commenting. Some opinions are so inappropriate/offensive that they'll be removed as hate posts. These posts are usually, but not exclusively, those that target a particular sex, race, sexual orientation, etc.
  3. Follow Reddiquette
All members are expected to follow Reddiquette, Reddit’s basic guidelines for respectful and constructive behavior.
  4. Do not post opinions that have been heavily posted/have been on the front page recently
Posts relating to highly popular topics aren't allowed. No response or follow-up posts about upvoted posts here. No series posts either. (Part 1, 2, etc..) Check if your opinion was just posted or regularly appears. If it’s always on the front page, skip it. POSTS DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS SUBREDDIT ARE NOT ALLOWED OUTSIDE THE MEGATHREAD
  5. Justify Your Unpopular Opinion
Before your post is approved, provide a clear and concise explanation of why your opinion may be considered unpopular, you can reply to the automated message. This helps foster understanding and encourages constructive discussion. Once you submit your justification, your post will be released for community voting
  6. Do not post low effort or troll post

Adding gibberish, filler, or unrelated text to meet the limit is not allowed.
  7. No banned | mega-thread topics
Please do not post from (or mention) any of our mega-thread or banned topics. [Full list of banned topics](https://www.reddit.com/r/unpopularopinionph/wiki/index/)
  8. All complaints and suggestions about the sub go in the megathread.
We get it, you think the posts aren’t really unpopular, and they sound like preferences or just rants, and you want to be clever by posting about it. That’s fine, just take it to the megathread instead of spamming the feed. Posting complaints outside the megathread may result in a ban.
  9. Moderators have the final say
Moderators reserve the right to make decisions in the best interests of the sub and its users.
  10. Follow posting guidelines
Make sure to read them here. Submissions that do not follow the post guidelines will be removed.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
