What its rules say about promotion
Self-Promotion / Advertising / Solicitation
Submissions and comments that self-promote / advertise may be removed by the discretion of the moderator. Users should be members of the sub first - promoters second. We encourage all users to post original content that they are proud of. Your account should not exist solely to submit your own work; please regularly engage with the community, and seek organic engagement. Please check with moderators if you are advertising. Ticket selling/buying and esports betting content are disallowed.
Do not endorse or accuse players of Cheats, Hacks, or Breaking TOS
Discussion of hacking, cheating, or modifying the integrity of the game files is subject to removal. 3rd-party projects must use the official Riot API for VALORANT. Please do not advertise your account for sale here. This breaks Riot's TOS. Please do not make posts accusing other players of cheating. Threads discussing cheating should focus on information from reputable reporters or a statement from Riot Games.
Tournament Advertising Guidelines
**Tournaments advertised on VALCOMP must have free entry for players and teams**. Tournaments with entry fees or tournaments that fail to clearly state their entry is free will be removed. Posts advertising a tournament with an entry fee will be removed unless it is organized by reputable TO or is a LAN competition. Note: engagement must be organic. Brigading will result in loss of promoting privileges. Please inquire in Modmail prior to advertising a grassroots tournament stream.
What its rules say about AI and bots

All 11 rules of r/ValorantCompetitive
- Uphold the competitive nature of VALCOMP.
VALCOMP is a VALORANT community with a primary interest in: - VALORANT Esports & its community - The meta and gameplay changes - High quality critique of the competitive ladder Submissions that are unrelated to VALORANT competitive play will be subject to removal. Please respect the users and public figures who engage in our community. - Gameplay highlights must originate from a Tournament Broadcast
Gameplay highlights (such as Twitch clips) must originate from an official Tournament broadcast. This ensures that clips are related to the competitive scene. **Clips from tournament co-streams are acceptable** as long as the co-streamer adds additional value to the clip and does not take away from the initial broadcast. Do not post clips that were reuploaded to a separate platform unless it has been explicitly allowed by the original broadcaster. - Spoiler Titles are not allowed until 12 hours after an event
Do not reference match outcomes in your post title until 12 hours after the result. This allows time for users to go back & watch broadcasted matches they've missed. If you reference a match outcome in your post body or comment, please use Reddit's native `>!Spoiler Text!<`, >!which looks like this!<, or mark your submission as a *Spoiler*. For spoiler free match VODs, check out [Juked.gg](https://juked.gg/vods?games%5B%5D=20&sort=recent) or disable spoilers on VLR.GG (option in top right). - No harmful / destructive behavior towards other users or community members
Please respect the users and public figures in our community. Be civil and respectful when talking to others. Posts with the intent to harass or harm others will be removed. This content includes (but not limited to): - Personal attacks / targeted harassment - Intentional rudeness - Witch-hunting - Bigotry - Derogatory terms - Personal information without owners consent Any post considered disrespectful will be removed at moderator discretion. Repeated offenses resulting in a ban. - Disallowed Content

Please provide additional evidence, such as screenshots or videos, when speaking about the actions of community figures or reporting bugs. Examples where evidence may be required: - A player is cheating / hacking / match-fixing. - A public figure is accused of gross misconduct. - A player is misleading the public about their identity. - You post a gameplay bug. A moderator may remove content if it lacks sufficient evidence. Reports from reputable journalists are an exception to this rule. - Self-Promotion / Advertising / Solicitation
Submissions and comments that self-promote / advertise may be removed by the discretion of the moderator. Users should be members of the sub first - promoters second. Brigading will result in loss of promoting privileges. Please inquire in Modmail prior to advertising a grassroots tournament stream. - Titles must describe the content of a post
Do not use click-bait or misleading titles. Do not use a post to address an entity (Dear NSG, Riot, etc). Just make a post about what you want to discuss and title it appropriately. When posting esports-related content, please provide background information such as region, event, or other relevant context. - Meme Guidelines
Memes must be related to VALORANT Esports and be based on a non-generic template. Memes that impose VALORANT graphics over existing templates will be removed. If using a generic format, the template must be recreated **entirely** with VALORANT content. Memes must use the Rule Following Meme flair (this helps users filter for memes depending on their interests). Of course, meme posts must also follow other subreddit rules. Memes that do not follow Subreddit Rules will be removed.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
