What its rules say about promotion

No Self Promotion, Sales, or Advertising
For advertising your commercial product, please use Reddit Ads: www.redditinc.com/advertising This includes selling your video services, content marketing, market research, giveaways, crowdfunding, and private sales. If you are associated with a commercial product related to videography and wish to participate on the subreddit in an official capacity please message the mods for approval: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=r/videography FOSS products are exempt from this rule.
Hiring / ISO / Job Listing post policy
All hiring posts must state the budget, any relevant dates, and the country in which you are based. 'Work for free' postings are not permitted. This includes offering hypothetical future income like YouTube Adsense sharing, or payment by "exposure." If you wish to list a professional position and are unable to comply with these guidelines for reasons of commercial sensitivity, please message the moderators for an exception.

  5. Descriptive titles are required for posts asking for help/support
To make it eaisier for other users to find information on the subreddit, posts asking for help and support must summarize the question in the title. Bad: 'Help!' Good: 'How do I record 4k on my CamTek 9500 Camcorder?'

  7. Moderator Discretion Applies!

A list of additional guidelines and rules for /r/videography can be found here: https://new.reddit.com/r/videography/wiki/additional_rules/ As a general policy, we won't always remove rule-breaking posts that slipped past our filters if they have already generated worthwhile discussion.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
