What this page is
This page quotes r/WarDogs's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/WarDogs's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion
Rule 4: Self Promotion
**Video posts must be native Reddit uploads.** External links (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, etc.) belong in your post body or comments, not as link posts. Promoters must be active, good faith community members. If your account is only here to drop your own videos, streams, or links and never participates in other discussions in good faith, your posts will be removed and you will be banned. That includes drive by link dumping, "check out my channel" posts, and promo in comment replies.
Rule 5: No Links, Promotion, Advertising of Cheats or Exploits
Don't post links to, advertise, or promote cheats, hacks, exploits, or unauthorized third party software either directly or indirectly. That includes URLs, Discord invites, naming vendors or providers, explaining how to find cheats, and clips or screenshots with a cheat site visible in chat, on screen, or in a username. Discussing anti-cheat updates or game security in general terms is fine. Pointing people toward where to get cheats is not.
Rule 7: Bot, NSFW Promotion, Frequent reposting
No bot accounts or bot generated posts, no promoting NSFW content or communities, and no reposting the same content repeatedly. Bot activity and repeated reposting are also content manipulation under [Reddit's Content Policy](https://redditinc.com/policies/content-policy), which can cost you the account itself. NSFW promotion is our rule because this is a general audience community. Check the front page before posting. If it's already here, join that thread instead.
Rule 8: No Begging or Selling
**No begging.** Don't ask for free keys, codes, copies of the game, money, items, or in game gear. This includes "spare key?" posts, hardship pleas, and DMs asking other users for handouts. **No selling.** Don't sell or advertise products, services, or content of any kind, including accounts, keys, boosting, coaching, merch, and paid guides. Giveaways are allowed but participants must be allowed to join and receive on this subreddit. Forcing people off site to participate is forbidden.
What its rules say about AI and bots
Rule 2: Keep It Relevant: No Low Effort or AI Content
Posts and comments must be about WARDOGS. Other games, real world politics, streamer drama, and general off-topic content will be removed. **Low effort:** no rage bait, "this sub sucks" meta posts, one line complaints, or reposts of the same topic. Feedback is welcome when there's something to discuss. **AI content:** no AI generated posts, comments, images, or video, including AI art, AI written text, and AI voiceovers.

Read the [FAQ](https://reddit.com/r/WarDogs/wiki/faq) before posting. Questions already answered there will be removed. Answered in the FAQ? Link people to it instead of retyping it. - Rule 4: Self Promotion
**Video posts must be native Reddit uploads.** External links (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, etc.) belong in your post body or comments, not as link posts. Do not post sexually explicit content, pornography, graphic gore, severe real world violence, or real life combat/warfare footage. This includes photos, videos, external links, detailed written accounts, or graphic imagery depicting physical trauma, death, or explicit sexual acts. We do allow in game combat clips, official trailers, cinematic teasers, and standard gameplay capture that fall within normal game boundaries. - Rule 7: Bot, NSFW Promotion, Frequent reposting
Giveaways are allowed but participants must be allowed to join and receive on this subreddit. Forcing people off site to participate is forbidden. - Rule 9: Moderator Discretion
Our rules cover the basics, but they aren't a complete list. Mods may remove content or restrict posting privileges when something is detrimental to the subreddit or to other people's experience here. If your behavior drives people away or ruins the experience for others, mods will take action. Baiting, bad faith arguments, and looking for loopholes ("but there's no rule against it!") will just get you treated as a troll. Respect the intent of the rules, not just the letter. - Community Server Disputes
We can't verify what happens on a community server and we have no authority over them. Take it up with that server's admins, or report it on Bulkhead's [official Discord](https://discord.gg/TxKKdspkCp). Posts about being kicked or banned turn into pile-ons, and that's a [call to action](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043071072) under Reddit's harassment policy and it gets removed regardless of who was in the right.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
